  • Your cue for a visit to Sooke! Join for a fishy afternoon, with activities, crafts, and a guided walk along the Charters River, followed by a story from cultural programmer Leslie McGarry. Plus, you'll likely be able to see the fish as they return to spawn and complete their lifecycle!

  • Kim Trainor and Ashley-Elizabeth Best perform their poetry alongside an always-awesome open mic from Planet Earth Poetry!

Friday, November 15 | 7pm | Craigdarroch Castle | $32

  • A murder mystery set in the perfect place for a proper mystery - Craigdarroch Castle! A fully improvised mystery inspired by Agatha Christie, participants will move from scene to scene within the castle gathering clues over ~1 hour. Running the 15th & 16th.

Saturday, November 16 | 8pm | Metro Studio Theatre | $25

  • McLaughlin has been entertaining, enthralling (and occasionally terrorizing) burlesque, stand-up, and theatre scenes for 25+ years. Only one thing is for sure at this show - you'll be laughing your butt off the whole time!

Sunday, November 17 | 1-4pm | Horticulture Centre of the Pacific | $80-$90

  • Paint some watercolour miniatures that you tuck into greeting cards or gift to someone special! Art supplies included for an extra $10. This workshop is totally open to beginners, and your ticket includes admission to the gardens!

Sunday, November 17 | 2-4pm | Bard and Banker | $60

  • Bring your friends & family or come solo and meet new folks at this Bard & Banker workshop, where you'll create your own fresh wreath to hang on the mantle while you sip on a special coffee or mulled wine! All supplies provided.

Saturday, November 16 | 10am-1pm | Deep Cove Elementary School | Free

  • The Repair Café, where volunteers help residents fix broken items instead of throwing them away. Bikes, clothing, tools, tech, household items, and more - all fixable! Lighten the load on landfills, share skills, and build community!

Sunday, November 17 | 7pm | Bolen Books | Free

- To say Marc Garneau has a few stories to tell might be the understatement of the year. Canada's first astronaut in space, a Navy officer, and a Cabinet Minister, Garneau will be telling some of the extraordinary tales from his memoir at Bolen Books! Don't miss out on meeting this iconic Canadian figure.

Sunday, November 17 | 2-4pm | Maritime Museum of BC | $10

  • Join for this fun carving & scrimshaw - the art of decorating bone, teeth, etc. with designs - at the Maritime Museum! You'll also get to learn about the history of whaling in BC and the impact of over-consumption on our natural environment. No experience required!
