March 17th | 1-4pm | The Green Thimble | $295
This camp is all about diving into learning the facets of clothing making. Teens Sewing Camp is set up for teens who are hooked on sewing and want to take their skills and ideas to the next level with the focus on clothing.
This camp is geared towards to ages 13-18 and REQUIRES MACHINE SEWING EXPERIENCE. This five day camp will cover the following elements: Clothing design & process Working drawings for design Choosing the best fabrics for your design How to read a pattern Measurements, pinning & cutting fabric Garment construction Finishing techniques (including hemming, zippers, button holes and working with elastics).
There will be another week-long Teens Sewing Camp starting March 24th, as well as Kids Sewing Camps for kids aged 8-12 to give sewing a try on March 17th & 24th!
Fabric is included in the cost of the camp. There will be an array fabric to choose from for chosen clothing project/s. The use of the Green Thimble sewing pattern library is also included.

Four women share stories of their female heroes, accompanied by poetry, music, comedy, and dance performances. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their own "shero" for this International Women's Day celebration.
Saturday, March 8 | 8pm | Belfry's BMO Studio Theatre | PWYC ($10-$30)
Award-winning actor/playwright HRH Anand Rajaram stars in Crosstown, a solo show addressing class, abortion, ambition, and faulty memory. The story follows two parallel narratives: an unhoused man's journey to a new shelter and a young doctor's climb up the hospital hierarchy.
