Daycation Destination
The UVic telescope is open every Wednesday night for visitors to pop in and catch a sight of the cosmos! This isn’t your average backyard telescope, either. You’ll be able to channel your inner Neil deGrasse Tyson and spot the moon, stars, and distant planets through UVic’s massive telescope - all for free!
The open house is available to all residents and visitors, with time for Q&A and discussions on the latest astronomy ‘buzz’ (did you know the James Webb telescope just found out our understanding of the fundamentals of the universe may be completely wrong?! Be sure to ask about it!).
So whether you’re looking for a unique date idea or just want to see how a proper astronomy lab works, head on down to UVic and take advantage of this awesome, free, and very unique activity before they close shop for the summer (the last day is April 3rd!)

Magda is still a kitten and has lots of energy - she can be a little shy at first, but she’ll warm up fast and will take all the attention you can give her after that! Now she just needs to find her forever home to share all the love she has to give.
